Easington Village Allotments
Information about the Allotments in Easington Village
Easington Village Parish Council has two allotment sites – Sunderland Road (Petwell Lonnen) and Lee Terrace. The Sunderland Road site was bought around 1986 and the Lee Terrace site in 1990 from the former Easington District Council. The sites are operated and managed by Easington Village Parish Council for the benefit, health and welfare of its residents. Each allotment plot is individually managed by the tenant, and are responsible for its upkeep, maintenance and general good order.
Each allotment site has become a small community in their own right, where help, advice and co-operation are always available for those who might need it. Consequently, the allotments are a popular addition to the Easington village community and plots are much sought after. There is usually a waiting list for plots to become available.
