Internal Audit Reports 2025/26
This is a certificate presented after an internal audit of the council, or at any other interim period.
The first part of the annual audit of accounts is an Internal Audit reporting to council on the condition of the annual accounts. This is formally received by council at a full meeting of council.
A council may have an internal audit at any other time it wishes, and typically, this may be done midway through the reporting period as a form of ‘health check’ on the accounts. Not all councils do this.
